INTELLECTUAL OUTPUTS

1 EDUCATIONAL BOARD GAME DEVELOPMENT MANUAL

“Game On: The Manual” is one of the main intellectual outputs developed during the long-term project as an educational board game development resource. It holds theoretical and practical information for educators, youth workers, youth organizations and other stakeholders of the education and youth work fields who would like to develop educational board games in their work.

Inside this manual you will have the chance to:

  • Learn about available educational games related to the topic of entrepreneurship which exist in each one of the participating country;

  • Understand the current presence and use of educational board games, based onthe research that each partner implemented in their country and local reality;

  • Explore game design methods, tools and frameworks that you can use in your workfield in order to develop educational board games on various topics;

  • Get inspired by the experience and perspectives of the team involved in the project.

We hope that this manual will be a useful resource for educators and youth workers who want to enhance their work and impact by integrating the use of game-based learning through educational board games. Enjoy it!

4 EDUCATIONAL BOARD GAMES

Each board game was designed to be played by groups of 3+ people and concentrate on specific learning outcomes that develop entrepreneurial skills such as leadership, communication, decision-making, financial literacy, problem-solving, time management and planning. Such educational board games are innovative in themselves and will allow NGO’s to use them even with small groups of young people to still have interactive and fruitful learning events.

Each partner organization created at least one game which was developed and tested during the period August-November 2019. The games were then designed and their print to play versions were made public in May 2020.

You can find them in the section "Download our board games!"
