The eight coordinators from Estonia, Greece, Spain and Sweden met today on the first day of the Game Development Meeting (TPM2) as a part of a "Game On: Developing Educational Board Game Project for Young Entrepreneurs"!
This is the second out of four meetings of the "Game On" Strategic Partnership project since the kick-off meeting in Spain in March this year.
During this 4-day meeting in Tallinn there was a lot of work to do for the coordinators: The group discussed the use of game based learning in schools and universities based on the focus group results and experience working in the field; they discovered and shared educational games produced nationally and international examples of educational board games on the topic of entrepreneurship as well as shared tools for game and learning design; they differentiated and analyzed target groups for final products; and of course explored game mechanics via playing various successful educational and leisure board games for inspiration.
At the end of the meeting, coordinators divided topics on which the games will be created and made a detail plan for work until November 2019, when they will meet in Örebro (Sweden) and present game prototypes. The strategic partnership was formed to develop four educational board games for young people and a board game development manual for youth workers as well as to train educators and youth workers on how to use educational games in their day-to-day work with young people.
We are excited to be part of this project and have a chance to develop more innovative materials for educators and youth workers internationally.
Stay tuned and #stayshokkin.
“Game On: Developing Educational Board Games for Young Entrepreneurs” is a long-term KA2 project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme through the Spanish National Agency INJUVE and implemented by Shokkin Group International (EE), Ticket2Europe (ES), Awesome People (SE) and Solidarity Mission (GR).
