We keep organizing dinners and spreading cultural exchange here in "Dinner4Foreigner"! Read some of our last events!
1. On 26th of May in Poznan "We Acted!". We had a amazing picnic with our international friends. We all had a chance to get to know each other more with small activities, shared their culture, played board games, and they have learned more about our campaign #dinner4foreigner.
2. We met Ran Jan, a young student from India who moved to Poland recently. He is very enthusiastic about learning Polish culture and cuisine, so together with our teammates Dariana and Bohdan, they have been invited by a Polish family for an intercultural dinner. Our host, Steve Hayles who moved to Poland years ago along with his family took initiative, they served local dishes to our guests and they had a lot of interesting conversations which they have learned a lot from each other about their cultures and integration.
3. We continue to bring together different cultures for dinner! This time we have brought together Turkey and Poland. Our team member Dicle organized a new dinner with Dariusz from Poland and Abdülkadir from Turkey (who is doing and internship in Poznan). They shared many things with each other about their cultures, they prepared and presented dishes of their own culture and they created a new bond between them.
4. This time, the students Mer from Armenia and Anastassiya from Kazakhstan, and our Logos member Didżle from Turkey have been hosted by Darek and his family. Even though the meeting was short, there is so much to talk about!
Our host family not only served traditional food and beverage to our guests but also shared the secrets of making the most delicious homemade Pierogi, the most famous Polish traditional food. Mer and Anastassiya enjoyed a lot by contributing Pierogi preparation, and they also presented some local sweets from their homeland, and taught our hosts how to cook the best Armenian coffee! They have shared so many stories and learned a lot from each other about their countries, culture, and traditions, needless to say. We are so glad to say that both parties had a great time with each other's company and they have created good friendship bonds!
